I’m so honored you’re here! I’m Suzette Kroll, RDN, aka Your ULTIMATE Bariatric Diet Guide. I’m the author and webmaster of BariatricDietGuide.com

What Qualifies Me?

Just so you know, I have a degree in Nutrition, Food Science and Dietetics and am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), which makes me a legitimate and qualified person to be dispensing nutrition advice!

I have advanced training in adult weight management, and I specialize in bariatric nutrition and the diet after weight loss surgery.

I can hardly believe it myself, but I’ve been counseling people for 30 years already.

Throughout my career, my advice has been published in Seventeen Magazine, Mindful Mama Magazine, The American College of Sports Medicine Fitness Journal, Weight Watchers online, and I’ve appeared on various cable and television stations, including the Food Network.

I've been responsible for the development of bariatric nutrition programming ...from concept to execution...for several bariatric surgeons.

Why I Write This Website

These days I spend much of my time trying to pay it forward and “give away” all I’ve learned, seen, and experienced over 3 decades being a dietitian.

I believe I’m merely a vessel for the knowledge I’ve received and it’s my duty to let it flow freely through me for the benefit of anyone who can receive it and benefit!

If You're Wondering if I've Had Bariatric Surgery

I get asked this question all the time.

For the record, no, I haven’t. However, I battled my weight for at least half of my life.

I Know the Struggle

My first memory of realizing I was overweight was when a high school coach poked me in the stomach and told me I was fat.

At my heaviest I weighed at least 30% more than I do now. (That’s like weighing 325lb vs 250lb!)

And while at first glance you may never know this about me nor think that I struggle, let me tell you otherwise.

I know firsthand what it feels like to need to lose weight, to be uncomfortable in your own skin, to feel like you’re a spectator on the sidelines of life… waiting until you’re a particular dream weight to be able to join in on the fun.

You may have seen various cartoon-like pictures online of a inner thin person trying to “get out” of an overweight body.

Well at any given moment I feel like I’m a thin person now with my inner overweight person trying to “get out” at any second.

I Take My Own Advice

All the bariatric diet tips and strategies I share here on my website are ones that I use myself…because they work!

I finally learned how to manage my own weight when I embraced the fact that weight loss is a journey, not a destination.

I believe the same is true of weight loss after bariatric surgery.

It’s a journey.

And traveling together is much more fun than traveling alone!

Join me on the journey. Let’s do this together. I’ll help you!

In Health,
Suzette Kroll, RDN

May your light burn so bright that it illuminates the path in front of you.
